Where Every Border Crossed Became a Chapter Written
First survive, then learn, to move on.
Author, Speaker & Lifelong Learner

From a small town in India to war-torn Iraq, then rebuilding life in Canada and the United States—now a Texan. Not a story of loss, but of endurance. Every border crossed demanded something, and every challenge forced growth.

A scientist by training and a storyteller by soul — Deepika holds a PhD in Chemistry, spent over a decade in oil & gas, then leapt boldly into IT. Today she calls Houston, Texas home, surrounded by her husband, two children, and two beloved fur babies, Happy and Lucky — two rescue dogs whose lives she saved — who fill every corner of life with warmth and second chances.
A Toastmasters member since 2008, Deepika carried her story all the way to the TEDx stage — her voice steady, her truth unguarded. Her memoir is a love letter to her father, whose memory breathes life into every word she writes.
She finds her freedom behind the wheel of a Rubicon Jeep, chasing open roads and untamed landscapes. To celebrate turning 50 in 2023, she ran fifty 5Ks in a single year — not just as a milestone, but as a declaration that the journey is never truly over.
